About Mycena Skin

It started as an obsession
Mycena Skin is the two of us, Sophia and Paul, and it didn't begin as a business plan. We'd used copper peptides ourselves for years and had long been fascinated by functional mushrooms. Mycena Skin is what happened when we brought the two together and decided to do it properly.
The mushrooms
We're the growers behind BLH Farm, a certified organic mushroom farm in central Missouri. Two mushrooms have earned their place in our formulas: tremella (the snow mushroom) and cordyceps. Some of the cordyceps in Vital Theory is grown on our farm, and the rest of our mushrooms come from growers we trust. Every extract comes with its supplier's certificate of analysis.
The peptides
On the peptide side, we work directly with a manufacturer to produce copper tripeptides to our own specifications: GHK-Cu for skin and AHK-Cu for the scalp, the two most-researched copper peptides in skin and hair care. Every lot comes with the manufacturer's certificate of analysis for identity and purity.
How we make it
We formulate everything ourselves and make it in small batches every week in Fulton, Missouri — never handed off to a contract manufacturer. That means we control exactly what's in every bottle, and your order ships within 2 days. We're always improving, too: refining doses, retesting, tightening the formula. When a formula changes, the ingredient list on the product page changes with it.
